Towards the close of 2010, scientists discovered a new shark species in the Indian Ocean. Mustelus shark species called manglorensis was found at a depth of 500 meters in the waters of western India.

Shark species are identified as gummy shark. According to reports the Indian national newspaper, The Hindu, this species is one of the 19 species found gummy shark in the world.

Shark species are found in the series of the Indian Ocean expedition by a team of researchers from the Cochin University of Science and Technology. Over 10 years of expeditions, research carried out in 220 different locations peraian.

Besides sharks, this study also revealed that India is very rich waters angler fish species variation. Group of fish found in it to trap prey with its jaws, aided by a long ridge that hangs above his head.
